Buying Guide: Camp Meal Gear, Candles and Lighting

Mess Kits and Flatware
The gray mess kit comes as a 4 pack and includes a lid and bowl with rubberized grips on the base to help it stay put. Its lid and bowl are curved to match the sides of the 3-in-1 utility spork. The Switch Spork is a 7 in. long utensil that turns into a spoon, fork and knife, or telescopes into an extra-long utensil for deep containers.

Candles for Lanterns and Emergencies
The white unscented candles come in a pack of 20 with 5 oz candles, made with a carefully sized wick and wax formula for longer burn time and less soot build-up in candle lanterns. Plumbers candles and natural beeswax household emergency candles suit camping, backpacking and emergency preparedness kits. Their high-melt temperature helps minimize dripping.

Sprout Mini LED Lantern
The Mini Sprout Lantern has a black LED with 100 lumens and push-button control to dim or boost the light. It also offers a soothing blue Moonlight Mode. A magnetic lanyard lets you hang it from a tent or tree, or set it on a table.
