Buying Guide: Naan Sprinklers

Sprinkler Types
Impulse sprinklers have a head driven in a circular motion by the outgoing water, and some use a sled or non-tipping base. Spot sprinklers and irrigator sprinklers are built for large lawns and spray in a square pattern. Rotating sprinklers have programmable rotation tabs and an arm that is pushed back into the water stream by a spring.

Materials and Coverage
Naan sprinklers are made from brass, powder coated zinc die cast, or plastic, depending on the model. Coverage is given in square feet, so compare the area you need to water with the rating on the sprinkler before ordering. The Whisper Quiet Plastic Sled Base Impulse Sprinkler uses a gear driven design enclosed in plastic for quiet operation, and other Whisper Quiet models are gear driven for quiet operation.

Sprinkler Head Locks
Head locks are sold in sizes such as 1/2 in. dia. with lengths of 2.2 in. L, 2.5 in. L or 7 in. L. Match the size on your old part before you buy. Some locks offer an adjustable full or part circle spray pattern.
