Buying Guide: Malco Sheet Metal Tools

Snips and Cutting Tools
Malco Andy Pattern snips come in straight and combination styles, such as a 14 in. straight snip with a 3 in. cutting length. A J-channel cutter handles 5/8 in. channel, and the TurboShear drill attachment clamps into the chuck of a corded or cordless drill to make straight, curved or square cuts in most common sheet metals.

Crimpers, Seamers and Punches
A hand crimping tool with 6 in. jaws bends sheet steel and non-ferrous metals, while hand seamers with die cast zinc jaws suit aluminum roof flashing, coil stock and fascia. A five-blade gutter crimper forms double crimps in aluminum or steel downspout, and a hand downspout crimper is also offered. Snap lock and nail punches round out the line.

Fasteners and Hex Drivers
Slotted hex washer head sheet metal screws are zinc-plated and sold in 100 packs. The reversible magnetic hex nut driver switches between 1/4 in. and 5/16 in. hex sizes, and its Easy Clean Magnet helps keep metal shavings out of the hex tip.
