Buying Guide: Christmas Tree Stands

Setup and Locking
The push-pull ratchet mechanism on the Express stands makes set-up and take-down easier. On the Express models, three galvanized pins in the center of the base help lock and centralize the tree before final adjustment. The 4 ft model also has a raised bolt post, and its spike secures the trunk.

Water Reservoir and Spill Guard
All four stands have a spill guard, and the small and medium Express models have a deep one. The 24 in model has a low, wide reservoir, and the 4 ft model has cut-away sides that save the bottom branches of your tree. Both the 24 in and 4 ft models have an easy fill design.

Materials
The 24 in model is made of hi-impact polypropylene. The 4 ft model is made of polypropylene, which has great strength and is unaffected by low temperatures. Check the model details before you buy to confirm the material for the size you need.
