Buying Guide: Glue Guns, Rivets and Staples
Glue Guns and Glue Sticks
Dual temperature glue guns have a high and low switch. Use high temperature for bonding metals, plastics and ceramics, and low temperature for delicate materials such as lace, foil and ribbon. Mini, cordless and industrial glue guns are also available, along with glue sticks in clear, glitter and assorted colors.
Rivets and Rivet Tools
Surebonder offers steel, copper and aluminum rivets, along with a threaded insert rivet and a metal rivet tool. Blind rivets are used when you cannot reach the back of the parts being fastened, such as gutters, sheet metal and HVAC work. Match the diameter and grip on your old rivet before ordering.
Staples and Staple Guns
Cable staples come with plastic insulators for hanging holiday lights and garland or tacking down computer wires. The trigger fire staple gun can preset the staple with a squeeze, then set it on the second squeeze, so you can staple with one hand.
