Buying Guide: Generator Cords and Power Inlets
Generator Cords and Adapters
Reliance Controls offers generator power cords, generator power cord adapters and 12 in. adapter cords. Many of the Color Connect ends are color-coded to show the NEMA configuration of each plug and connector, and some connectors are illuminated. Adapter plugs help you connect a generator outlet to an RV plug.
Power Inlet Boxes and Transfer Kits
Power inlet boxes come in 20, 30 and 50 amp versions, and the 20 amp PB-20 is a rain tight NEMA 3R box that may be installed indoors or outdoors. Pro/Tran transfer switch kits include the components needed for a 10-circuit transfer switch installation. Have a qualified technician install these electrical parts.
Timers and Load Testers
The 24-hour mechanical timer is a gray indoor and outdoor model with a low-profile cabinet, reversible door hinges and a lockable cover. The digital appliance load tester reads amps and watts, so you can check what a circuit is drawing.
