Buying Guide: Pump and Motor Parts

Pressure Switches and Float Switches
Pressure switches are automatic controls for electric water pumps. One example turns the pump on at 30 PSI and off at 50 PSI, and it is suitable for jet and 4 in. submersible well systems. The tethered float switch replaces most standard float switches and is intended for sump basins 14 in. in diameter or larger.

Pump Repair Kits and Ejector Kits
Some pump repair kits are jet pump overhaul kits that include an impeller and seal and gasket parts. The ejector kit is an add-on for convertible jet pumps, bolting to the front of the pump for shallow wells or attaching to the drop pipes for deep wells. Check your pump manual and follow the manufacturer's instructions before installing.

Capacitors, Points and Sprinkler Kits
One motor capacitor stores energy and helps a single phase bore pump motor start. The metal capacitor points are contractor-style replacement switches for the back of an AO Smith motor. Seal and gasket kits are for pump maintenance to help maintain pump performance, and lawn sprinkler repair kits provide parts to re-build a sprinkler pump for optimum performance.
