Buying Guide: Chain Link Fence Hardware

Posts, Rails and Caps
The line includes a chain link rail end cap, a top rail sleeve, an eye top cap, a round post cap and a corner post kit. The rail end cap is meant for use with 1-3/8 inch top rails. Match the cap or kit to the post and rail size on your fence.

Gate Hinges and Hardware Sets
Gate post hinges and gate frame hinges let the gate swing, and each gate needs 2-4 of each hinge. The drive gate hardware set includes two gate post hinges, two gate frame hinges, a fork latch, and bolts with nuts for a walk-through gate. The fork latch has a Y-shaped design that sits over the terminal post.

Bands, Braces and Bolts
Tension bands and brace bands attach chain link fabric and the top rail to gate, corner and terminal posts. Each brace or tension band needs one 5/16 in. diameter carriage bolt, and the carriage bolt is sold in a 20 pack. Silver aluminum fence ties are sold in a 30 pack.
