Luster Leaf

Buying Guide: Garden Soil and Moisture Testers

Soil pH and Nutrient Testing
Luster Leaf offers analog and digital pH meters, and the analog Rapitest pH meter needs no batteries and comes with a plant care brochure to help you see which plants suit your soil. The Rapitest soil tester kit uses a color comparator capsule system to check pH, potassium, nitrogen and phosphorus, with 40 tests in the kit.

Moisture and Soil Temperature
Moisture meters and a soil moisture probe show when plants need watering and help prevent over-watering. The soil moisture probe is for use in soil only. Soil thermometers in digital and dial styles, plus a compost thermometer, help you track soil temperature for planting and composting.

Rain Gauges and Yard Tools
Rain gauge stakes measure rainfall in inches and millimeters, and the Luster Leaf 1640 rain gauge stake has a multi-piece vinyl coated steel build that adjusts in height. The leaf bag holder is for use with 30 gallon paper bags, keeping the bag open while you fill it with yard waste.
