Buying Guide: Kwikset Locksets and Deadbolts

Entry, Privacy and Passage Locksets
Privacy knobs and passage levers come in right or left handed versions. The Tylo privacy knob is for interior bed and bath doors, and the Halifax passage lever is for interior hall and closet doors. Check the handing and the size, such as 1-3/4 in. on the Dorian passage lockset, and measure your door before you order.

SmartKey and Single Cylinder Deadbolts
SmartKey deadbolts are available in satin nickel and polished brass, and some SmartKey models come as a combo or set with an entry knob or lever. Several SmartKey products are marked KW1, so match the marking on your old part before you order. A SmartKey reset cradle is also available.

Key Blanks, Lock Pins and Parts
The Home House/Office key blank, sold as 50 single sided blanks, is for Kwikset Signatures SmartKey locks and is not for traditional pin and tumbler cylinders. Bottom pins, such as the No. 1 0.172 in. size, are for Kwikset pin and tumbler keyed products. Match the pin size on the old pin, and check your lock type before you order.
