How do I choose the right size or type of level or square?
Match the length to the work. Squares come in lengths such as 4-1/2 in., 6 in., 8 in. and 12 in. For a level, choose the number of vials you need, such as 1 or 4, and a magnetic edge if you want hands-free use on ferrous metal.

Can a rafter square be used as a saw guide?
Yes. The aluminum rafter square can serve as a saw guide, a stair layout tool or a rafter tool. Its solid aluminum body has CNC machined edges, and its low-glare powder-coated finish makes the graduations and numbers easy to read. Measure and mark the cut before you saw.
