Pushbuttons and Chimes
Pushbutton doorbells come in plastic and metal versions, and some models have a lighted center bar. Wired door chimes have a white plastic cover and a 2-note melody, while the wireless plug-in chime kit offers 3 selectable tunes. The wireless chime bell runs without batteries, using the energy created each time the button is pressed.

Transformers and Chime Kits
Chime transformers reduce voltage for hardwired door chimes, including a 16 VAC, 30 VA model and a clamp-on tri-volt model that requires access to 110 power. Contractor door chime kits bundle a 2-note chime, a transformer and pushbuttons in one package. Check the voltage and amp rating on your existing transformer, and have a qualified technician handle the wiring.

Replacement Batteries
The A23 12 volt alkaline battery is a replacement for wireless doorbell pushbuttons. Look at the battery type printed on your old battery or the part number in your manual before ordering.
