Buying Guide: Choosing Good Cook Kitchen Tools

Bakeware and Prep Tools
Good Cook makes cake pans and cookie sheets with a nonstick coating, and the 9 in W x 13 in L cake pan suits sheet cakes and large batches of brownies. The cutting boards suit chopping, slicing and preparing fresh vegetables, while the mesh strainer hooks over bowls and pots. The mesh strainer is dishwasher safe, and the cake pan is metal spatula safe.

Openers, Graters and Gadgets
The range includes a manual can opener with a gear-driven blade, a waiter style corkscrew, a citrus squeezer, a food chopper, a cheese slicer and an apple slicer and corer. Several items are made from stainless steel, while others use plastic or nylon. Choose the tool that matches the task you do most often.

Serving and Kitchen Helpers
Good Cook offers a 12 in. L pasta server made from nylon 66, along with a baster, cheese cloth and a mini bag clip. The pasta server has a longer handle to keep hands away from heat, and it has high heat resistance for serving from hot cookware.
