Fluidmaster

Buying Guide: Supply Lines and Toilet Parts

Toilet Repair Parts
A repair kit with a fill valve and flapper is offered for 3.5 GPF toilets or larger. A flapper chain is offered to replace a broken or rusty toilet chain, and wax rings are also offered. Check your toilet type before you order a kit.

Supply Line Types and Lengths
Supply lines are sold for toilets, sinks, ice makers, dishwashers and water heaters. Lengths vary by type, from 6 in toilet connectors to 120 in ice maker lines. Ends are offered in compression, FIP and ballcock styles.

Choosing the Right Size
Match the part number or size on your old part, including the end types at both connections. Measure the distance between the shutoff valve and the fixture before you choose a length. Have a qualified technician install water heater and other pressure-system lines.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Fluidmaster make?
Fluidmaster offers toilet repair kits, flapper chains, wax rings and bolt caps, plus braided supply lines for toilets, sinks, ice makers, dishwashers and water heaters. It also offers wall and ceiling access panels for covering in-wall cables and fixtures.

How do I choose the right size or type?
Match the part number or size printed on your old part, and check the connection type at each end. Measure the hose run between the valve and the fixture so the length is right. Check your fixture manual for the required size if you are unsure.

Are the supply lines stainless steel?
Many are braided stainless steel wire over a polymer core, including several toilet and water heater lines. Ice maker lines have a tough core covered with braided stainless steel wire. Brass supply lines are also offered, such as a 9 inch faucet line with a brass body.
