Buying Guide: Evaporative Cooler Parts

Pumps and Motors
Dial makes replacement evaporative cooler pumps, including a red 5000 CFM offset model with a 115 volt rating, and replacement motors such as a 115V 1/3 HP single-speed motor with a NEMA 56Z frame. The NEMA 56Z motor does not include the base, so keep your existing base in place. Check the voltage, horsepower and frame against your old motor before ordering.

Pads, Media and Float Valves
Dial offers aspen cooler pads, a foamed polyester roll and rigid media for cooler pans. Aspen pads expand when wet, and the aspen roll can be cut to size. The 1/4 in. float valve keeps a constant water level and shuts off the water supply, with a polypropylene body and float.

Hook-Up, Drain and Tubing Parts
Dial also offers water hook-up kits, a nylon drain and pipe kit, polyethylene tubing, a flexible snake and a copper tube cutter. For baskets and drain fittings, match the size on your old part and check the thread type before buying. Follow your cooler manual when connecting water lines.
