Buying Guide: Choosing Flashing Tape

Window and Door Flashing
Tite Seal flashing is used to create a waterproof seal around windows and doors, in new construction and replacement work. It can also be placed under brick, siding, stucco or wood to seal joints, and it helps keep out drafts and moisture. Tite Seal Butyl Ultra is a butyl option that the description says adheres to wood, OSB, aluminum, vinyl and steel without the need for primer.

Deck Flash Barrier Tape
Butyl deck flash barrier tape is placed under decking boards to help prevent moisture buildup. The description says it self-seals around screws and nails and can be placed between treated lumber and metal. Measure your deck area before choosing a roll width and length.

Gutter Seal Patches
The gutter sealant is a clear, self-stick patch for stopping gutter leaks both inside and outside. The patch measures 4 inch by 6 inch and has a clear TPO facing.
