Buying Guide: Air Hoses, Couplers and Plugs
Polyurethane and Recoil Air Hoses
Polyurethane air hoses come in 25 ft., 50 ft. and 100 ft. lengths in blue, and their light weight suits jobs where dragging a heavy hose is an issue, such as roofing. The polyurethane recoil hose is 50 ft. long, rated 200 psi, and coils itself back up when you finish. Nylon recoil hoses come in yellow 25 ft. and 50 ft. lengths at 200 psi.
Hybrid, Rubber and Polyvinyl Hoses
Hybrid air hoses come in 25 ft., 50 ft. and 100 ft. lengths, in yellow and green, with 3/8 in. diameters and 300 psi. The rubber air hose is 50 ft. long, red, and rated 300 psi, while polyvinyl hoses come in orange 25 ft., 50 ft. and 100 ft. lengths with 3/8 in. diameters.
Couplers, Plugs and Hose Reels
The brass 1/4 in. I/M style couplers have 3/8 in. female NPT or 1/4 in. male NPT ends and come in packs of 10. Steel and brass plugs with 1/4 in. FNPT or MNPT threads also come in packs of 10. The hybrid polymer air hose reel is 50 ft. long, has a 3/8 in. diameter, is rated 300 psi, and can be mounted vertically or horizontally.
