Buying Guide: Masking, Duct and Packaging Tape

Masking and Painters Tape
Pro-Mask masking tape comes in beige, such as 0.94 in. W x 60 yd L and 1.41 in. W x 60 yd L. A red stucco masking tape, 1.88 in. W x 60 yd L, is used primarily in EIFS and stucco installation applications and is excellent for exterior applications. A high strength painters tape, 1.41 in. W x 60 in. L, comes in beige.

Duct Tape
JobSite duct tape is a polyethylene coated cloth tape with a pressure sensitive natural rubber adhesive, used for general maintenance such as wrapping and sealing, weather proofing, binding and bundling. JobSite comes in black, red and white at 1.88 in. W x 60 yd L. Silver duct tape at 1.88 in. W x 60 yd L comes as a 24-count set, so match the color, width and length to your old tape.

Electrical, Packaging and Specialty Tape
Black vinyl electrical tape, 3/4 in. W x 60 ft. L, is an electrical insulating tape with good dielectric strength. Clear strapping tape, 1.41 in. W x 60 yd L, has fiberglass reinforcement for packaging, palletizing and unitizing. Silver foil tape, 2 in. W x 10 yd L, is flame-retardant and excellent for HVAC applications, and gaffer's tape is black, 2.83 in. W x 54.7 yd L.
